I. Dạng bài GAP FILLING
Yêu cầu của đề bài là tìm từ phù hợp trong bài đọc để điền vào chỗ trống. Mặc dù có cùng yêu cầu đề bài nhưng trong bài thi Ielts xuất hiện khá nhiều kiểu hỏi khác nhau, chúng ta cùng tham khảo nhé
1. Sentence completion
Với dạng bài này bạn sẽ được yêu cầu hoàn thiện các câu được đánh số và hãy lưu ý các câu hỏi dạng này sẽ xuất hiện lần lượt theo trình tự thời gian.

2. Note completion
Cũng tương tự như dạng điền câu, cấu trúc câu hỏi dạng Note completion cũng yêu cầu bạn phải hoàn thiện câu tuy nhiên những thông tin trong Note được tổng hợp có hệ thống nên bạn có thể dựa vào tên note và đề mục lớn để nhanh chóng xác định vị trí thông tin cần tìm.

II. Dạng True False Not Given và Yes No Not given
- Yêu cầu của đề bài
Với câu hỏi True False Not Given, thí sinh sẽ phải so sánh thông tin có trong bài và các statement trong câu hỏi để kết luận các đáp án: True/ False/ Not given
True khi statement đưa ra thông tin tương đương thông tin trong đoạn văn
False khi statement phủ định hoặc trái nghĩa với thông tin trong đoạn văn
Not given khi bạn không thể chứng minh statement là TRUE hay FALSE

Tương tự như vậy câu hỏi YES/ NO/ NOT GIVEN cũng yêu cầu so sánh thông tin nhưng điểm khác biệt là ở chỗ thí sinh phải so sánh statement với ý kiến của tác giả.

- Đây là dạng bài cần đọc hiểu và so sánh thông tin, không phải chỉ cần tìm keyword.
- Khi ghi đáp án vào giấy thi tuyệt đối KHÔNG VIẾT TẮT.
- Đọc kỹ đề bài trước khi điền đáp án vào giấy thi tránh nhầm lẫn True với Yes hay False với No.
III. Dạng Short Answer
Trong các dạng bài Reading IELTS thì dạng câu hỏi này khá dễ vì nó chỉ có một câu hỏi và yêu cầu thí sinh đưa ra một câu trả lời ngắn (tầm 1-3 từ) để trả lời câu hỏi đó.
